I am looking at possibly buying my friends 01 or 02 Mountain Max 700. He isn't sure wich year it is. It has 110 miles on it, and it has the Ohlins shocks on it. He is letting me pick it up along with his other sled this weekend. Is there anything I should know about it? Were there any problems with them? I have also heard a couple different horse power ratings for them. What is the actual hp output?

I believe they are around 110hp.

With triples, they are around 125hp or so.

I had a 2000 MM same basic sled except yours had better lights and more power on the mag.
The only week point mine had was the track, the paddles would crack and begain to break. Had the track replaced
and rode the sled for another 4000 trouble free miles.

Not the fastest or the most powerful but one of thee best in my mind.

Dead nutz reliable...i had 3 of em. The 2000 & up had upgraded rear geometry that really got up on the snow & had great flotation. Ohlins were never an option so they were added on by a previous owner.
