Just wonder how many HCS memebers where going to head to the International Snowmobile Festival in Madawaska. I have gone the last 3 years and what a blast. $20 gets you a weekend pass for both sides of the border, dinner, breakfast, also they have a night drag and a dance. Great time and great trails. If you havent gone, its a great trip. It is the first weekend in February and a blast. You should really look into it.

Yes they were. Did the big loop before noon last year. Trails were mint. Had a great weekend, put on a lot of miles.

We went up on superbowl sunday, no one was out, 310 miles > we got back to Cross Lake at half time

been there for saturday the last 2 years still a bargan for only 1 day. can you get busted for riding beyond or outside the loops?

so $20 bucks allows you to ride in NB canada for the day? that's pretty cool I think I'll have to try it this year!

$20 lets you ride in NB for 3 days. Fri, Sat, Sun. Im not sure what would happen if you rode outside the loops. I would just say you go lost. No big deal. Great time had by all. Best Bang for your buck.

I think the loop is more for the poker run. The way they have it written it is a three day pass. So i would say you could go anywhere. Gotta love the night drags too. There are some fast sleds up there.

I wanna go for sure. my wife's due date for our 2nd son is Jan 10th so the second week in Feb. should be good!!

You are only allowed on the loops, get caught and they can issue heavy fines, lets not mess it up for everyone stay on the trails they give us for the weekend.

I didnt know that you could get in trooble oops any way go to moose vally on the run ad fuel up and eat that place is awsome we all go there in the winter and summer. The mud runs there are great the canadian love it when we bring ower trucks and distroy something, but every time I go there I cant remeber what I did I always drink took much is frigin fun. I would tell every one to go there And if you see any one with a Hazardous hicks sticker or sweatshirt, Ask them where dechaine is I will probly be around. Ok so the Fesitval is only a couple weeks away who is heading up? I think there will be about 5 of us up there.

So are the trails on the US side of the border? Thinking of going up to festival to ride on your side if it's worth it. Never ridden in maine before. Sounds like fun either way, get to ride with a lot of new people.

Trails are on both sides of the border. There is a nice 200 mile loop on the Maine side. Well worth the $30 for all the fun you get to have. There is a map on the webpage. www.isfim.net

I just realized that I missed a word in my post. I meant to ask HOW are the trails on your side? I imagine they should be groomed nice and flat before the festival.

24 hr grooming durning the festival. Trails are mint. Should be a great time.

Where do they hold the night drags?

Club Du Nord in Canada. They show the location on the map. Its better in Canada because they care less about safety. There is a rope between you and the strip. In the US there would be a 10ft fence. So its fun. Great place to have a couple beers.

I drive 700 miles one way to ride the trails there at least 3 times a year. Any questions!

There are 7 of us going up for the first time. Can't wait! We are staying in Frenchville. Spoke to Madawaska Chamber the other day confirmed you need to stay on marked trails also they are
planning on posting a new map of the trails on Monday 1/21. Check out the website. They must have changed something.

Well its a great time you wont be disappointed. Even with the marked trails they are great times. Hope this week flys by, really need to get on the sled.

Heading up Thursday night and hopefully going for a nice ride that night. Will be hitting it hard friday. How late are you staying. We are coming back on Monday night.

Driving back sunday, its a long ride back to jersey when you don't want to leave but going out to Keystone/Vail CO on Thursday the 7th for two weeks of fun with family on the big hills.

Yea Im not sure if Ill watch the big game...depends on the trails. Im hoping the Giants can pull it out. I will look out for all the yellow on the trail.

I think just about everyone in our group will be on doo's. Not all yellow.

Hey Fireatak, myself and my business partner are stayin at Gateway too. I ride an 05 Scat and he's got a 05 660 Turbo. We're gettin in on Thurs mid day leavin Sun mid day. Maybe we can hook up and ride. But no football talk. Just wouldn't work. See ya there
