I really haven't ridden this machine much at all but ever since the soy bean field has come down and we had snow last week I have been tempted to take a zip across the grass.

WOW!

1/4 throttle and it is off like a rocket with the skis in the air. Now many of you have ridden these and other sleds with more power and maybe it is no big deal to you.

It scared me. I am not afraid to say it scared me. Have to have respect for that machine.

I'll see if I can get some pics tomorrow.

WOW!

hey, my testicles just dropped back down. LOL

My wife and I are aiming for fun this year. We just added another sled to the mix. A nice older 97 Grand Touring 700 SE. I want to take my boys to Marienville and with 2 sleds and a 2 place trailer I need a 2 upper. Now with the GT being the 4th full size sled I am finding I need a different trailer LOL

Will it ever end?

Haha, nope. It's an addiction for sure. One you get settled with sleds, trailers, suits, etc. it'll slow maybe. There is ALWAYS something newer or better that you have to have. Snowmobiling isn't cheap. The next thing on my list to get is a trailer next summer when I can work full time and make some real money again.

lol. I like to keep my standards low, never driven anything newer than mid a 90's 500, that way my 400 with 8 inches of suspension travel feels like a rocket and rides like a caddy. nuts.gif yelrotflmao.gif

Don't get me wrong. I still love riding truly vintage sleds. The 80 Motoski Mirage Special of the kids is a lot of fun to ride. I think with some clutch tuning it would be a pocket rocket BUT I don't do anything like that because the kids ride it. I have to fight putting the Comet 94C on it hehe
