Looking at a 2000 ZR 500 efi today, has 1300 miles.

Anyone have experience with this model/year. Good and bad. Thanks.

Great sled! My wife had the black one! She just moved up to an F6 EXT, We had 3800mi on her and had to replace the stator due to low voltage out put, other than that carbides and hyfax, gas and oil, she would start and run all day long.

mine has just over 5000 miles on it and i have yet to have a problem with it

it always starts in two pulls or less, efi is awesome

my only complaint is the gas mileage (about 10-12), but other than that great sled

Beware of the Exhaust Valves. They wear the pins and valves on these sleds, maybe due to vibration, and if they wear enough...they hit the pistons...you can guess the rest! Kablamo!!!

I love mine but have not ridden it since I toasted a cylinder and piston...I'm workin' on a fix though!

Surprisingly, the gas mileage is not very good. My 900 is better...

it wouldnt have exhaust valves... frech11.gif
the first year for the the exhaust valves was in 2001 (earlier for the sno pros...cant remember what year)
