Myself, NytroManiac and Rev X 800 went for a drive to the Highlands yesterday, took the sled just in case we found the white stuff. The temp was 5'C when we left Sydney, chances of finding snow weren't looking good, especially when we got to the gate....

Drove into the Pig N Whistle, there wasn't a shit load of snow, maybe 8" or a little better on the highland rd, but I came this far, might as well take the ol girl for a rip. Put 25kms on the sled, actually pretty good going along the highland rd. There was a good layer of frozen slush under the powder, which prevented the skiis from hittin bottom. What surprised us most was the temperture difference, it dropped 6 degrees from Sydney to the time we got up top. Felt great gettin this out of my system, now i can relax and wait for our first big snowstorm.

I seen him pass by this morning with his black XP in the box and thought he might be going up there for a rip on the road somewhere.

Lookin better again, for now.....oh and FYI, if anyone is planning on heading up the Oregon/North River entrance, there's a few really big trees down across the trail that you can't get around or over until they're removed, we found them coming down and had to turn back towards the Highland Rd. Hopefully Tousan is right and FaSTBoY is installing that chainsaw on his sled, sure could have used it the other day ! grinning-smiley-023.gif
