I know this has probably been discussed before. BUT. How and does a donut seat itself?
I just finished refreshing my top end on my F7 and the donut leaks like a seive. Thus completely messing up my clean-up.
Thanks for any advice!

If it's that bad replace it. Might need new springs to put more clamping force on it. Or I always run a bit of High Temp Gasket around it, and the one on the can. Then a dab on the springs to help with vibration.

It is called heat silicon. Dosn't matter how tight your springs are it will still leak a little without it. Cheap just go to the auto parts store and get some. Also it helps if you apply a stip down the spring helps them from breaking, with all the vibration that is on them.

Put a new donut on it, and a few new springs, all are cheap. If it still leaks, high temp silcone will take care of the rest.
