I have a question I hope someone could help me with. My 98 FomulaIII was stolen sometime between Wednesday and today and I was wondering if there is a way to start it without the DESS. I live in Mass and the sled was kept at my house in Maine and the kid across the street uses our garage to store his sleds and I don't really trust the people he associates with and many of them work as snowmobile mechanics and was worried they might be able to start it without the key or DESS. I don't trust those guys as far as I can throw them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can bet your ass after this weekend he will be looking for a new place to store his sleds.

:banghead: All they would have to do is unplug your tether and plug in another one same with the key switch.

if they have access to a dealer they can use a programmer and plug it in to the sled and reprogram any dess plug? good luck !!

the sled will run, but as soon as the clutch engages it will just bog. won't go anywheres.

Get ahold of local dealers, because you can get a dess thing programed for your sled.
