Guy in town wants me to sell this thing, no clue what to ask. 368 orginal miles. In fair condtion, everything works. Paint slighty faded, small crack in hood. 350-400 a place to start??? Help me out! thanks!

$250 or so sounds about right if the motor is solid and turns over. More if it were running.

That is a 1972 Sno-jet Superjet 433. It will say 71' on the mfg date. They aren't very common at all and definately interesting sleds.
My 72' SST has the same type of engine and it is one of most reliable Yamaha engines of the 70's. Oh yeah.. the engine is a Yamaha with 2 ring pistons so it's a long hauler for sure. Actually, I have a 72' Superjet junked but pulled a good 1100 mile engine out of it.

You justt have to put new crank seals in it, check the ignition out, oil the breaker cam felt and all that good stuff. Then of course, peel the old Tillotson open and clean that all up. Pull the engine shrouds apart and look for solitary wasp nests (they like to make their mud cell nests in between old sled engine fins) and mouse nests too.

That's wild. I have the exact same model in my garage. Mine is in excellent shape though. It has always been in our family but rarely ridden.

I only have two problems with mine. The gas tank is extremely rusty inside, and I need to get a Tillotson carb to replace the piece o junk Walbro.

I'm guessing the gas tank will be bad on that one in the photo.

The thing would NOT turn in stock form. It had to have ski-spreads installed, which at least made it driveable.
