My chain case just started to leak. Any suggestions or ideas on how to stop the "DRIP".....?

Thanks!

Take it apart, clean everything and install a new big giant O-ring.

Yesterday I had it all apart and cleaned it.....

Anyone have a P/N for the O-ring??

Usually the new oring will not fix the prob alone, you need to silicone the splines of the lower driveshaft as you reassemble, and a little on the bearing races and the oring itself, there is a little oring inside the bearing too, and thats usally the one that leaks - tip straight from an ac service tech

When you say silicon, is there one that's better than others?
At this stage I'll install a new O-ring and silicon it, but I'll avoid the lower drive shaft re and re.....

100% RTV silicon - brand shouldn't matter much, but I like permatex, high temp red cause its easy to see where your sloppin it onto

BTW - just remove the lower gear and silicone the splines, and the outter race where the big oring goes, install new oring and retainer plate, then when you shove the gear back on it will force silicone into the inner race and oring seal, no need to remove shaft

Thanks for the GREAT feedback!!
If it were that easy... unfortunately I have a "reverse" chain-case.
Anyway I did the Permatex on the case seal with a new O-ring and let it setup overnight. I'll refill the case today and see how it goes.....

However, with my luck, I'll be opening it back up and following your instructions!!!
