Hopfully someone can help me with a problem I have had for a couple of seasons. I have a 2000 Formula Z700 that when ever you shut the engine off for a pit stop or lunch and restart it fouls plugs, spits oil out the exhaust and smokes so bad you can't see. It clears up after a bit of playing with the throttle.
It has done this before and after engine overhaul and oil pump replacement. not sure were to start looking? please help as I love this sled but this is getting old.
snoeproe
how many miles on the sled?
have you annually cleaned, sync'd the carbs?
rave valves cleaned annually?
frostyz

I have never personaly sync'd the carbs but it has been dealer serviced since new. I clean the rave valves twice a season and have never had any build up of deposits. The sled has 16 000km but only 5000 since new pistons and rings. I have been told to replace the needle and seats but I am tired of just throwing parts and money at it and not getting it fixed.
