hello all i am new to this forum and i figured this would be an excelant place to get some answers. i am not sure if someone has put a 2003 600 ves motor in an 2000 xc sp 600 gen II chassis? i bought the sled from a guy who had blown the engine up and then it sat in his basement for a couple of years and i have all of the 2000 parts for it. the motor i have is a 2003 600 ves and i am going to be putting it in the chassis but i have some questions concerning using the newer motor with some of the older parts. i was wondering if the electrical parts of the 2000 will hook up to the 2003 motor and also if the ecu will be fine with running the motor? also with the coolant lines i did not know if i could use the same set up that the 2000 used or if i should get some of the parts that the newer style uses, instead of using the oil/coolant tank bottles and have the little coolant bottle setup next to the motor? thank you in advance for you help i have a bunch of friends that use this forum and said i should check it out. i am sure i will be on here looking around and asking questions.

You can use the cooling set up and the oil bottle off the 2000. Both should be small block motors. Use the 03 CDI and wire harness from the CDI to the sled harness. All this stuff should plug right in. Polaris used the same chassis harness until the IQs. Hood harness can be different if you have PERC. The 2000 should have a ignition switch with a Prem setting and so did the 03. Should go right in. The thing that you may have a problem with is the exhaust. The 03 was in and edge chassis and the motor was tipped forward. I believe the 00 was straight up. As a result the "Y" pipe is a different angle. You should be able to use the 00 y pipe and be fine. Looks as though the 00 was a ves motor so the length should be ok. All in all this should be an easy swap. Motors are the same.

well with the electronics would i be able to swap the stator and flywheel so that i could use the 2000 electric instead of finding a 2003 stuff?

does someone know if i can take the 2000 flywheel and stator a nd put them in the 2003 motor so i could use the 2000 ecu and wiring harness?
