Will any xtra 10 front shock work on my 94 xlt.
I'm bidding on fox shocks that were on a 98 700xc. I think the 700xc had the XC10 front end. Will these shocks work on my 94 XLT?
I'm also looking at shocks from a 2001 xcr800. Would these fit? or will I have problems?
Finally, I'm looking at shocks from a 97 X440, are they Xtra 10 and will they work?
thanks

I think I was watching those same set of shocks(39.99 ended last night)
I'm curious to know the answer to your questions too
I have a couple 97 indy trails with the xtra-10 that I'd like to get decent shocks for
Good luck...and I wont bid against ya!

there are at least 2 different length front track shocks for extra 10 but probably 3. The first year which I think is 95 xcr440 is kind of a 1 off. Then all are the same up until they lengthend the front torque arm which I think was 99 but it could have been 99
I just re read your post if your sled is 94 it is not an extra 10 at all and none will fit from the sleds you mention.

I'm going to change the front end over to Xtra 10, if that's possible. I already bought the trailing arms and am willing to buy the the rest. I guess I never asked if it is possible to do it to a 94..... I know Xtra 12 wont work due to the shock towers...
Now my question is...... CAN it be done?
thanks

I have a 94 XLT and I'm in the process of converting the rear to edge and the front to Xtra 12 with Fox Shocks. For a 94 the front can be done xtra 12 usinf the parts off of a 97 XLt. The trailing arms are the same length and everything bolts in. I don't know about the xtra 10's.

HHHMMMMMMMMM.... that would be good too. Are there instructions for edge rear like there are for the Xtra 10?
