1 OLD SLEDER
Nov 11 2007, 07:42 PM
Pocono Motor Sport in Mt Pocono, PA.
From what I'm told they will not be carring the Arctic Cat line as the old owners did. It will be only a Yammi dealership.
I stoppped buy a few weeks ago and I asked about the sleds and was told they should be in the showroom by mid to late November. Glad I'm not looking for any. Would want to have mine by now not later.
Never did tell me they were only a one brand dealer had to find that out somewhere else.

Yeah, I was there a few weeks ago and they told me the Cat's would be there by November. Kind of sucks only being a Yammi dealer now. I was looking forward to them having Cat stuff. The people there seem nice and that's the closest for me. I was never to the old place, but the new place is really small. A few sleds and quads and it's full.
I guess I'll be dealing with Pat and Son's and Schreffler's now. Both places have really nice people too, just kind of farther away.

Yea screw wating for Pocono to get all there stuff in I will just go elsewhear when I need stuff. I'll go to Pat and Son with JimZeigler07. The old Pocono Motorports was something pretty good but the new one you may as well just forget about those guys.

If your talking about Hilltop Sales and Service I highly recomend you DON'T go to them! I bought a 99ZR there a few years ago and it was nothing but junk. Realizing I was at fault for buying it I know now, but still there was so much wrong with it even when I got it. I wouldn't suggest going there.

I'm located out side of Jim Thorpe so where is Pat and Son's and Schreffler's?
As far as Hilltop my buddy got a new sled out of state last year and when it was shipped to him the kill switch was broken. He call Hilltop and they ran the numbers with AC and it was under warranty so Hilltop got right back to him and had the sled repaired in quick time.
A couple of years ago I tried to find them but their in the back country so to speak but since then I found a easy way for me to get there.
Also I have it on good info that someone is trying to get a new dealership closer to here but it won't happen for this year.
The old Pocono Motor Sport shop was just 13 miles for me to drive to so to say the least it sucks that their not a Cat dealer anymore.

Yea we knew long already that they were going to be a cat dealer but I was up there twice once in September and once in October and still nothing Arctic-Cat yet? They keep saying its on its way they are just waiting. So hopefully we'll see some action soon.

I tried them for service on My ZR when it blew up. They had the sled over a month and a half and never touched it. Then they told me they were going out of buisness. Wasn't too happy about that, but thats how it went. I'm not too fond of them anymore they just don't have what they had when the former owner John had that place. He's out in the mid west with Arctic-Cat probably living a dream now, and the new Pocono will never be close to the way the old one was.

Yup. Confirmed. I thought they had plans to be a Cat dealer, and I stopped in for some lube on my way back home last week and the guy at the counter said he was waiting for a shipment of Cat stuff. I didn't know they ditched their plans in the past few months.
Cat should be lucky to have them. They need some sales in this area!
Around here, we had Grimm's and Whitehall turf a few years back. Now I have to go up to Pocono or down to Trumbauer's in Quakertown. Reading Boat Works is another option. I had my steering and filler neck updates done there, but the drive down to Q-town is super easy. They are right by the t-pike plaza.

How is Trumbauer's for service? Do they have alot in stock? It's nice to have somewhere close if I need something.

Stop down there sometime. They have quite a selection of good used sleds as well as a nice showroom for the new stuff.
I have not had work done there. I have only bought parts.

Ok since I first posted this there have been mixed info on if they are or will be an Arctic Cat dealer.
I took a ride over there today and yes they are a AC dealer and had about 4 to 5 new sleds there and some ATVs.
As for stock they had oil, runners ect.
Best new is that if you have ever been at the old store and need parts Jr. was the man and he is running the parts here again. One thing I can say is if you needed to order a part and it came in he called you that day.
As for service I can not give you an opinion on that yet.
Best new for me is that it is only 13 miles from my house.

Jr. is the best parts man I ever dealt with. The one time me and a friend were testing our sleds at the Leigh gorge state park and thru a wheel on the suspension. I called he had the part and left it behind the soda machine for me. Stopped up there after they were closed got the wheel replaced it and we were on our way to NY . He is great I never had any problem with parts and if you were a good customer you got 10% off parts and I still do!!!!!!
