It was so cold last night at the Grass Drags on Boyle Rd that I was just going to hop on the River and ride home to Colbeck Dr.........
But Ollie stuck around to the BITTER end and let me jump on his trailer so I didn't bother....Thanks Ollie!

I was in the crick by my Mom's house (Deep End Old train bridge ) clearing a tree that fell across blocking the canoe and Skidoo route. It felt cold through the hipwaders. Felt good to see the 2 stroke smoke from the chainsaw drift over the water. Chainsaw is a modified 20 year old skihl with gold fleck paint and a pipe. Other than that it is completly stock so it qualifies for use on the river

What are you gearing and clutching for, 1000', 1320', 1500' or 2000'?

we should determine what MEASURED distance we are going to talk about here, I'm up for anything. Once we pick the distance we'll pick the location

Now we're getting serious! So just to recap, we are going to 'claim' a speed, then pick a distance, then pick a location, then......GIT 'R DONE!
What are we going to call this little brew ha ha? Maybe......

Holy shit!
So, do we agree, 1500 ft? Haven't heard from mxzollie yet.
Gotta give ya credit, Josh, you really started shit....and...we know you got the skills to pay the bills....
If I knew half of what you did about clutching and gearing, I would have opened this can of worms myself....
BTW - is Becketts bridge the train bridge between O'Reilly's and Regional Rd. #24?
jminor
Nov 17 2007, 04:50 PM
Becketts is the one by the 2x4, we can use the gps to count out the feet and then get the gun out. As for the 131.3, maybe I am asking for alot from a stocker, guess we'll have to wait and see..
jminor
Nov 17 2007, 05:09 PM
EDIT:I should adjust my original mph assumption based on the fact that this would be snow running not ice running if we all agree on the location. The 131.3 should actually be 128.3, probably still a stretch for a stocker but I have waxed the hood this year for wind resistance purposes, Damn thats one more secret than I wanted to give out already....

As for Beckett's bridge (we all know your 'playground') that would mean we would be running from west to east, correct?
I will need all this information as I make my calculations.....what moon phase do you think we will be in when we run...?(hopefully full moon according to my calculations)....

Hell Yeah! We'll be out a couple times but probaly won't do a full pass in front of Chads. A little to hary for me. Dad might though. I hope it'll do 120+. If it does that then anything more is just for shits and giggles. We'll change the gearing back to stock and change the clutching to what it should be and give'er hell. If there's ice at Puschlinch early we'll see how she goes on a friends gun. It's going to be a sick year!
