Picked up my new Renegade from Cobequid Mountain Sports on Friday. Ches and the folks are A # 1. Did a very good job preparing the sled and going over it with me. Although the secondary has them a bit perplexed too. All kinds of numbers and marks but no mention in the owners manual.??? Those of you who know me, know I have been a die Hard POLARIS MAN for years! ( North Star / Polaris ) I just couldn't resist the light weight of the new Rev XP.
Saturday we got an early storm (15 inches Alyesford Lake Nova Scotia Canada) so I got a chance to put some miles on it right away. WHAT a TREAT. Let me tell you it does everything right. The power delivery is much smoother than other 800's I have driven. ~ More like a 600 SDI. But man this thing ROCKS! & Handles super.
I put long J hooks on it, running board supports, the small bag over the gauges, a fuel caddy, studs were not in stock. I also ordered the largest bag I could get. Bag part # 280000308 but it seems BRP has the number wrong, a smaller one came in which was a much nicer bag, but I wanted one big one. If you look on the website and at the parts brochure you will see the same number on 2 different bags, Ches is checking into it. ALSO the sled comes with 5.7 Pilot Skis but not duel runners as advertised. After driving it I doubt I will drill them and add the second runner unless a big changed occurs when I stud it. It is plenty positive now, in fact you can turn on pavement.
Light is Right and long is not wrong!

The provincial forms are a "NO BASHING ZONE". I can't wait for us to have a chance to talk (North Star/Polaris). Just kidding great sled!! You are a lucky dog to get snow.
I thought you were busy on the weekend and couldn't make the meeting. LOL

Trails were better yesterday Nov 11th. Lots of Deer Hunters out driving the woods roads. Had fun breaking trails on side roads though. Rode from North River Rd (Aylesford Lake) to almost Lake Paul. Some wet holes & trees hanging over the trail. No frost in the ground. Ran for about 4 hours with Kevin Scott and his new Yamaha and Mike Welton on his Renegade. Met up with 3 guys from Sackville who rode in from New Ross / Salmontail area. And later met Mike Chute on his legend and Roger Tompson on his RX1. Everyone agreed for November Riding was GREAT

I am positive I have not gone out this early before when there was snow, now grass, or asphalt is a different story. That little Yami I bought is a hoot, can't wait to put more miles on her.
Just remember when there is no snow on the valley floor or in the city, good chance it snowed up on the South mtn, have to see it to beleive it, especially yesterday it was like the middle of Febuary.
It was -1 up there today and was -2 when I left at 4pm.

Today when i left kingstec instead of going home the highway I took the Butlear/Mines Road back to Windsor. When I first got on to the buttler rd. there was snow a little bit of snow, enoughf to go sledding on. and as i journeyed on it became a lil dry in some ruts, then i came to a freashly plowed road. they plowed 1/2 the buttler road and the whole mines road and a bunch of side road's. The road was still icy in places, If you were really eargin to sled you could probaly hit up the buttler road for a bit for about 10 km i guess, not really sure how long there was no plowed road, ut i almost went home and got the sled, but too far of a drive to travel all the way back 1/2 up the buttler rd just to go sledding.
This winted should be a blast by by the start of the season so far,!!!!!!!
If you travel the mines rd, hope u have a hose or afew $$ on ya because the road will paint your vechile brown, couldn't even see the 4x4 decals on the truck today. ohhhh man,
