My riding bud just sold his renegade and picked up an '07 XRS w/ the 800Ptech. The guy he got it from took the side clutch cover off, anybody have any insight as to why? Cool the clutches? What should he look out for? Didn't these motors have some issues? Thanks

Not mine, it's a friends. He had a renegade for the 3 years and wanted a short track. Kinda figured it was to cool the clutchs but he's worried if a belt blows that plastics will be ripped up. Definetly a sweet looking sled I can't wait to ride it. I just kinda realized I,m probably in the wrong forum.

those are a sweet sled. tell him to put two size bigger pilot jets in it and go!

The guy he bought it from has it pretty dialed in. He's not big on messin' with something unless there is a problem.

it gets rid of that annoying hesitation when you first mash the throttle. can mean 2-3 lenghts of the line.


if it's truly dialed in it'll already be done. pilot jet size #22.5 is what it should be changed to if it hasn't been.
