A buddy of mine picked up a 95 xcr about half way through last season. The sled is stock as far as I can tell except for the pipes. There are atleast 96 studs up the center of the track maybe more. We have the skid out to replace the front track shock, the lower mount broke off. He swears that the shock was hooked up when he bought the sled, I'm not sure b/c it is reaally damaged from running on the track and I had to really look hard to see it was broken. He says that the sled really lifts the ski when he gets on the throttle 2 to 2 1/2 ft. I have only rode the sled once and that was around the yard so i didn't notice the issue. He is a recent return to sledding so i'm not sure if it was the broken shock or poss it is a combination of the studs and his lack of feeling for the sled that is the problem. I suggested that we tighten up the limiter straps and see what that does for him, just wondered what you guys thought before I get really crazy changing things.

Could be that the ski spring preload are cranked all the way up,this will result in inside ski lift in turns.

I would just fix the mount before changing things. The broken mount will cause excessive ski lift and while it does look impressive it does nothing for performance and actually hurts performance. If you still have ski lift tighten the limiter straps.
