The guys in New Brunswick are getting some early seat time!6-12 inches and 80 miles of riding is not too shabby for Nov.9,10.Any bets on early season snowfall in VT?

I rather get some cold in here and freeze up the ground and water first. Then let it dump in mid Dec.

Once we get some snow your best bet for early riding in Vermont before 12/15 would probably be in Smugglers Notch.

The top inch of gravel was frozen this AM. Got a little muddy in the sun by mid-afternoon. Just perfect for driving stakes in the ground for signs and markers. Let's hope the cold hangs in there and drives the frost a little deeper before snow flies.

Some people judge the coming winter by the first snowflakes and then I read this quote and can totally relate to the real " signs " of winter. It's a great reminder to all sledders to get out there and volunteer to get the trails ready for the fun times ahead.
Thanks NEK, you are what the sport is all about.
Please VOLUNTEER, you'll enjoy yourself and maybe earn a volunteer TMA.
Thanks HCS

Yup, and the Notch is closed now too. The Mountain is still making a bunch of snow, although the amount of natural stuff has declined. It's not as white up there as it was a few days ago, but we're on our way.
