have a 2003 xcsp 600, 2002 indy 500 and also a 2001 xc 700 non ves how should they be adjusted on each sled thanks?? should they be up against the block or a space??

i have the manual. Actually the "spec" is .100" +/ .010" gap , but I also run them up till they just lightly touch.I think that most guys like me that "tune" do the same thing.I can still wiggle it against the motor with my finger tips. NO PRELOAD !.

It is recommeded to properly align the slight mis-alignment of the clutches that the factory built into the motor mounting, although myself and others don't run them with an air gap,... I shim the
chaincase to align the clutch offset.
