162 - 1.325 Woody's Gold Digger studs...Big Nuts...18 scratch lines...AC tunnel protector

Stoney
You will also need two strips to protect the tunnel by the gas tank.....the studs will hit there.

Who sells the strips for the front? Does arctic cat?

AC or any old slides will work. You will have to remove your tank.

Great thanks. Do you or anyone else have any pics on were to install them?

I can not remember the user name to search on but I thought it was Catcom50 or something like that. I did a search but the user name did not come up. Just search and within the last month it has been discussed with pictures.

Basically the pic show old slides mounted over the track windows from the front of the tunnel to the back near near the cooler.

There are pic's on here somewhere....but basically they go directly above the windows on the track.

As for removing the tank, that is not required, just remove the skid and install the strips, just do not drill holes to secure the strips to the tunnel near the gas tank.

I used old Poo protectors on my sled, works fine.

there is about 2.5" of clearance in the front. How do 1.325 studs hit?

Good question. I had mine hitting the protector in back but no marks at all in front. I tightened the track up and it stopped hitting in the back.

It does not make sense that they hit but mine has and I know many others have reported the exact same thing....so we have installed extra protectors under the gas tank area of the tunnel to prevent this problem.
I suppose tightening the track a little more may prevent the problem but the track on the XF's are supposed to be loose!

It is the studs hitting the tunnel that is a problem.....if the paddle hits I do not think you have anything to worry about, you are not studding the track are you!

If you are studding the 2" paddle track I always wondered if people installed studs.....i would guess not with size of a track.
