I don't have time to hunt this year because of family and yard obligations, but all weekend while I was in my yard, I heard only 1 gun shot. My friends who did hunt the area didn't see anything. Pickings look slim this year, at least in south-west Vermont.

I blew my chancew at a nice one saturday morning, but it looks like an above average year here in central vt, a lot of decent sized six and eight pointers.

Hopefully with the cold front coming through Thursday and the temp plunging for Friday maybe that will get things moving out there for you.

Yup, on the farm in South Randolph and a little in tunbrige and So Ro. The deer are out there, or where, the kill has been pretty heavy around here. The college land gets hit pretty hard though. I heard they got a nice 8 pointer up there last night though.

Yeah college land is hit real hard. I've been hunting with my buddy Calvin Russel near neighborly farms. No luck yet. Maybe tommorow!

Wait, are you talking about VTC? My cousin is going there next year, and was bummed because he doesn't have a place to hunt up there.

You can find places to hunt around randolph even though about 75% of the land is posted. I'm going to make a prediction that this coming Saturday will be the biggest kill day of rifle season.

My brother was saying somebody got an 8 pointer behind the VTC farm a couple of days ago too. I went down to the store in East Randolph today to look at the deer pictures, and I can't recall a year where more quality deer have been taken.
