In March my wife is headed to Burlington on business and I'm thinking about tagging along.

Where's a good place to rent Arctic Cat sleds?

Seems like the logical thing is to hit the Adirondacks eh?

Adirondacks are in NY...across the lake from Burlington, not many established trails in that area unless you head further west towards Tug Hill. The Green Mts are in Vermont. The established trail system is through our state-wide trail system called VAST. Visit www.vtvast.org for trail maps and info. There are not many trails around Burlington...you would most likely need to venture out about 20 miles to hit some decent trails. As far as local rentals are concerned...I can't think of any near Burlington. I know for sure near Killington Ski resort there is a rental company about 2 hours south of Burlington. The other option is head to what is referred to a the NorthEast Kingdom (NEK) of Vermont...I know in the past that Kingdom Cat used to rents sleds (i think?)...but it since has changed ownership to either Polaris or Yahama. I am sure some of our local members on HCS can steer you in the right direction.

There are several sled dealers in the Burlington area that may be able to help you out.

Frank's Motorcycles in Essex Vermont is located 15 minutes outside of Burlington and on the trail. They are Yami dealers. http://www.franksmotorcyclesales.com/yamaha.htm

The local cat dealer in the Burlington area is Vermont Home and Marine in Williston which is 10 minutes from downtown Burlington. I am taking my Sabercat there in 2 weeks to have some warranty updates performed. Unfortunately they are not on the trail.

Land Air is the local Ski-Doo dealer in Colchester. Probably 10 minutes from Burlington and on the trail.

Early-Mid March riding can be excellent in Vermont. Hopefully we will have tons of snow when you visit.

In St. Johnsbury, about an hour from Burlington, a friend rented a sled from them when we were up in camp.

Great group of people there. I'm dropping my sled off this weekend for some pre-season work.

X2..or 3. Either way great people, when my engine blew on my snopro they stayed late to tear it down and tell me what the problem was. Bobs probably the most knowledgable Arctic cat mechanic you'll find atleast within the north east. That dealership is the reason why I'd only buy Arctic Cat.

Bob's knowledge of Arctic Cat's is only surpassed by his knowledge of boats too. He's come through in a pinch for us on more than one occasion when it comes to the Cig...our friend's boats too.
