I have a 2001 mxz-x 800 with 3500 miles on it, at wide open throttle im only getting 7500 rpm, i am wondering if thats the normal operating rpm for my 800.... i also only get 95 to a 100 miles on one tank of gas, any of you 800 owners who read this i can use your information for fine tuning my 800......I had a 2000 summit 700 and it always maxed out to 8000 sometimes 8500 rpm, it feels like my 800 is not giving its full top end, i am also wondering if i am able to change my jets to help with my gas mileage!!any ppl familiar with these 2001 800 please give some advice!

did u try moving clickers around? should hold around 8200. as for gas milage that doesnt sound too far off if your riding aggressive at all.
