Kubota RTV 1100 on Mattracks. It pulls this drag nicely. I am a dealer for the Mattracks if anyone needs a set.

Have you had the oppertunity to groom snow with it yet?

They are fine for mostly level ground, but are underpowered and under-tracked for deep snow/steeper ground. IMO, the $$ it takes to buy this set up drag and all will buy a used Bombi or Tucker with 4x the power and a bigger drag...and the bigger the machine the more it pays..(In NH anyways).

I think these are ideal for the tight feeder trails and summertime trail work.

I thought we had dicussed this in another forum last spring, and the underpower issue was resolved and was an operator error(something about using throttle lever like a gas pedal and not throttling up and using the hydrostats). i could be wrong.....

me, personally, would like to seem them with a small blade on them......

and on a side note, the last thing BOT wants to hear is people talking about using their groomer for summertime work. grants stating anything about summer use to purchase the machine will be immediately declined.

Here's our test unit.

ASV Scout

Quick facts
The Scout went to the Groomer rodeo last week and garnered a lot of interest. They tried to get it stuck on several occasions and couldn’t do it. The Scout has plenty of power for all conditions. Able to climb hills that are about a 30-40 degree incline with no problems. It can drag a full load of heavy wet snow. Tows around 5,000 lbs. The machine can fit through very tight places 6 to 6-1/2 feet wide and the drag is 6 foot wide. Fuel economy is approximately ¾ to 1 gallon per hour. The fuel tank holds 30 gallons. You can see it at the Snowdeo in NH.

That Kubota setup is exactly what I'm looking to do as a second groomer for our club. How does it pull? I want to use our Polaris Ranger, which should be able to handle it in low gear.
