I seem to have some cutting out, and I'm very concious about the switch in the throttle lever. I was wondering if water in my float bowls could be causing this and should I attempt to drain the bowls. If this is a good idea, do I remove the BIG bolt on the bottom of the bowl, or is there another approach? What purpose does the drainage hose on the bottom of the bowls serve?

Thanks

Greg

PS It's snowing like stink and we're expecting another 20cm today!!! flag_canada.gif

bypass your kill switch and see if it changes, riding with my buddy last week and his was cutting out, I thought they worked or didn't work, we bypassed it and rode great for the rest of the week.

On my 97 T-Cat it had safety switches on the carbs themselfs. I Used the bypass plug for the throttle to find out which one was out of adjustment. Just something to check.

If you have a small amount of water in your gas and it still runs it will make a cough or sneezing sound from time to time if thats what you mean. Cutting out to me means electrical. Drain the carbs it cant hurt If you think you have water drain the tank and start over. The small hoses are a simple idea to remove small amounts of water from the carb. Water and gas comes in gas floats on water water drains to lowest spot which is down the hose. You should drain the hose from time to time but if you dont do it all the time the hose is brittle and the plug is hard to come out. You can set yourself up for a gas leak. You can see little bubbles of water in the tubes if theres water
