Any tricks to removing these? Everyone I tried just turns the whole unit.
Also wondering how tight when installing new ones. i_need_snow.gif

I made a slick tool for removal, a pair of small vise grips with a machined half for each jaw welded to them, that has a slot of which is slightly wider than the stud head, the edges are knife shaped to get behind the stud flange,... I used oil hardening steel for the halves,.... lock the vise grips at the tension needed, and wha-la, the stud can't rotate in the track, now just hang onto the vise grips and spin off the nut,-- it helps to loosen the stud some first if possible, until the point of stud rotation begins.
