So my buddy picked up an '02 726 ProX Mod sled......for free. Anyway, he doesn't want to have to run 110, so he's thinkin' about swapping the twins off of it to his '02 Edge X 700............would they work? If so, where should he start with clutching & jetting? I think he's got a Hot Seat clutch kit in the EdgeX right now........how much more weight does he need? Or...will these even work on his sled?
Also, how hard would it be to swap his 700 motor into the ProX chassis?.......I'm tryin' to talk him into doing this , but he thinks it'll be too hard.
Thanks in advance for any input.

The 726 is a small block motor I think, in which case it should bolt into the chassis without any problems as long as he's using 440/600 motor straps from a Pro-X. I don't know much about the 726 motor but what compression ratio heads does it have? He may have to lower the compression too if he wants to run pump gas.

The motor requires 110.......so, idk.......13:1 or more? I don't think he wants to run the 726 motor though. He just wants to take the pipes off of it to put on his 700 EdgeX, OR put the 700 in the ProX chassis & run the twin pipes. Just looking to see if the pipes will work & where to start with jetting & clutching specs.

You would have to ask SLP if they will work, but I doubt it. Completely different engines.

I have heard of guys using "bigblock" flanges on those small block pipes....
Go ever to snowest...those guys have run them...there is actually a 726 for sale in there.

What is the stinger I.D. on those pipes? Does you're buddy know where the 726 was running with those pipes RPM wise? The clutch kit might have some good components to use for the new set up but he will not likely see optimum performance the way it is. I have modded some pipes to fit my '03 xc 700 ves with decent results. PM me, maybe I can help.

SLP told me that the 726 motor should not have SLP pipes.........and they don't know why it has SLP pipes, or which pipes they are. SO they could be a 700/800 Big Block set of pipes, or a 600 small block set of pipes. Gonna look into the sled this weekend, to get some pics and take some measurements.

The two 726 mods I did came with SLP pipes from polaris. Every one I have seen came with SLp pipes. 8000 rpm.
