I've ridden twice before, but this will be my first sled. I'm an avid dirtbiker during the summer so I've got an itch for speed. I've been looking at an 05 M7 LE with a 162" track. I know this will be a great deep snow sled, but I'm a little concerned (having not done this before) about how it'll do if I want to carve it up formula one style for a chnage. Is this type of riding even available in Colorado? or should I be unconcerned with it at all? Is there perhaps a different sled that I should be looking at? I'm supposed to go look at it tomrrow afternoon, so if that sled isn't right for me, then speak up now grinning-smiley-023.gif

Thanks! I hope to see some of you in the snow this year.

I know the snow in CO is great, but I wouldn't recomend a 162 for your first sled..... JMO! The M is a good sled all around, it might be worth looking at a 153....

No matter what you get, you will have a BLAST!!!!!

It depends upon where you ride in CO.

When you say "carve it up" do you mean on the trails or coming down the mountain. If you want something that will still be somewhat trail rideable, go with a 144". If you're just using the trails to get to the deep stuff, stick with a 153" or so...160"+ if you ride the really deep stuff and like to climb hills all the time. Some people don't like the 160"+ tracks for carving in and out of trees but it's kind of a split between riders. You probably need to just get out there and ride and see what works best in the area you plan to ride the most.
