I dont like bearing buddies, they leak like crazy and most people over grease them and blow out the inner seal causing bearing failure. I do like Tekonsha brake controllers, the Prodigy is by far the best for electric brakes. I have open trailers and I use WD-40 on the front suspensions to help keep the road crude off the sleds along with a salt guard/shield. Its cheap and after it evaporates, it looks like I waxed the suspension. I have also learned the hard way about spare tires, first you need to take your lug nuts off and use an anti-seize lube on them if you ever want to get them off in the first place. 2nd you need the right lug wrench for your lug nuts,(the one that comes with your tow vehicle usually wont fit) When its comes to wire connection repairs, use a solder gun and shrink wrap. Use di-lectric grease on the trailer/ truck plug connection. over the years I have had some real bad trailering experiences. But now I take extra time to make sure everything is right before we set out..........tigger

All good ideas! The salt reaks havoc with everything!
