Yesterday I was out and was on my final stretch home and all of a sudden my temperature light started to flicker on and off.
The coolant resevoir was 2/3rds full so I filled it before going out tonight - about 5 minutes into my triip it started flickering again. I stopped to make sure there was still coolant incase it leaked out or something and it was down just a tiny bit so it was fine - I rode for 30 miles with it still flickering and couldn't keep my eyes off it - it seemed when I was reving it out the light would go off but in mid rpm range it would come back on again. I stopped again and the motor felt about what it should, the hose was a warm and the plugs were perfect so I think it just might be the sensor ??

anyone had any water pump problems or run into this before?

thanks in advance

Any resistance at all on the meter at R X 1 setting is bad. Just changed one, $15.

Check the connection to the sensor. The wire on mine has come loose a couple of times and cause the light to flicker. Plug the cap back on the stud and out it went.

FIXED -!!

I followed the wires and discovered they were tight against the one side of the motor - the vibration and just worn out the wire coating and it was shorting out against the engine block - a few inches of electrical tape and no more flickering.
