Fly pivot adapter.

Anyone have a recommendation for bars? I have the risers/guards already but I want to go to more of a straighter bar. It must be steel and 7/8.

Bars are stock. PowerMadd pivot adapter, PowerMadd 8" riser, and PowerMadd Throttle Cable Extensions.

Powderking: with that 8 in riser do you have problems bending the mounting plate? i had a three in riser on my wedge and now on my xc and on both sleds i would sometimes bend the mounting plate and then i would have to reef it bake into the correct position. Just a couple weeks ago i actually replaced the top of the steering post to get rid of this problem. i ended up cutting off the orig mounting plate and aprox 1in below it. i took a piece of steel 1in i.d. pipe (wich is o.d. of the orig post) and welded it to a piece of plate that was slightly thicker than the previous. i drilled some plug weld holes in the pipe towards the top of the pipe. removed the gas tank and shit, slid my new fabed piece on and welded her up. i will take pics and post them. oh yeah and i just put on a set of older sno pro bars, along with a articulating bar riser.

crazyman that sled looks sick, got any more pics of it?
Crazyman
just a couple i will take more once we get some snow here. this sled is a college graduation gift from my dad, i only paid him like a G for it. the year before he cage it to me he put a boss high rise seat, and slp can on it. when i got it i tore all the grapics off and started my own sticker scheme, black polaris shock covers, headlight cover, handgaurds(which protect very well from pine trees in the mtns.) custom windsheild chop, pro-x front bumper, blue vents, blue wishbone supports, blue tunnel edge grips. oh i also have four led lights under the tunnel in the back, they shine right where snow gets flung off the track. i will get a pic of this also.

here are a couple pics of my sled next to my buddies stock one. notice the graphics and seat.

Action shots

me on my previous 98 xc 600 wedge. loved this sled.

I will have to post some more pics. i love the way my sled is looking also. thanks for the props.i will get some shots of the current bar setup and reiforment.

guys...run the pro-x bars...they get rid of that bend and get them forward....kevin get them off of chris sled
MXthor113
you think i should go with them, i was looking for a more, up bend, ask chris hot much he wants cuz then i will have the handwarmeres and stuff too, have jess give me a call about them
jessexr
Why do you want the up bend??Control the height with the risers..not the bend.

Actually I haven't bent the mounting plate but have bent the steering post. Out west the bars were perfect and i didn't have any troubles. It was back in MN i landed wrong on a jump and that is when i first bent them and after that it became a weak point. But to fix this i am going to be dropping a steal rod down the center of the post to make it completely solid. I would like to see your pics of what you did to remedy your problem in case i have the same issue.

Thanks for the tips on the ProX bars guys, my buddy had a pair laying around and I threw them on. Great upgrade with the risers/handguards I already have.

finally got around to taking some pics of the reinforment job, and also the snow pro bars mounted up. this setup feels awesome sitting on the machine. the highrise boss and the bars are perfect.
first a couple pics of the piece replaced on the steering post.
esentially a piece of pipe welded to a plate, but much beefier than stock. thicker mounting plate. the pipe welded on to the plate slides over the existing post. i welded at the bottom, and there are also some plug welds towards the top.

painted the articulating risers black in the process.

Also i had added this a while ago. in the picture below you can see i added a piece of stainless plate right behind the upper steering post mount. the is a hole in the original plate right behind the post and i have had it bend at this point and this little plate made it much more durable.

The bars. from an older sno pro.

Also as of now the grips that i have on these bars a custom made out of hockey tape and an old stick taping trick.
