I am looking to put 08 Dragon bars on my 06 Dragon because I like the wider and straighter bars better. I called my dealer to order them and they had troubles coming up with the right part #. Does anyone know what the part # would be for 08 Dragon 700 handle bars? Are they different than the 08 switch back handle bars? What are your thoughts or opinions on this bar swap?

I have a spare set of prox style bars and they are almost exactly the same as these. the pullback is the same but the location of the bend in the bars is a little wider. I have the 08 dragon and was looking at that juast the other day to do to my wife's fusion 600

I am actually trying to do this very same thing. There are several part numbers from Polaris' website.
5250890-067 Handlebar, Black [700 IQ]
5250945-067 Handlebar, Black [600/700 IQ Dragon]
I ordered the second one thinking they were the straight bars like I have seen on the sleds at the shows this fall. What I got was the exact same bars that were on my 07 Dragon. So, I eneded up ordering the bars off the 600RR which is part number
5247074-067 Handlebar, w/Hooks, Black
The problem with those bars is that the hook on the throttle side prevents you from using the throttle block. (The plastic piece will not slide over the hooked end of the bar) So, I have also ordered the 600RR throttle assembly and tether to basically convert the whole thing. The only thing I haven't found a part number for is the right grips for these bars.
Here are the other part numbers for the throttle block, tether, and retaining bolts:
5133639 Block, Throttle, Front
5133636 Block, Throttle, Rear
7512290 Bolt, Socket Head (you need 2 of these)
4010849 Switch, Tether
I am sure someone else probably has a better way of doing it, but this is what I did. If anyone has the grip part number I would appreciate it.

Are the bars straight like the ones on the 08 Dragons? That # seemed like they are still rapped around some but not as much as the 06's. I think those ones are the bars that came on the 07 dragon. Maybe the 07 and 08 are the same bars, I don't really know. All I know is that I sat on an 08 and really like the feel of those bars.

I also sat on an 08 Dragon and the bars at the end seem to have a flatter feel to them. The 07 bars seem to be bent up at the grip giving me a hard time to turn corners as it seems to put my wrists in an uncomfortable position.

How did you get those bars? Richard told me that the bars were on backorder till January 15th.

I was told same thing about polaris bars. So i got Fly bars and a PowerMadd 6" riser, looks great and feels very good with the straight bars.

make sure you like the handlebar height of the 08 dragon, if not i would order a taller riser instead of getting the stock riser.

Yes they are the 08 Dragon bars. They have some bend but no rise. Not the same as the 07's.

Well I got my new bars today (#945-067) and they seem to be the same as 08 Dragons. The only thing I would like to know is the width of the 08 Dragon bar straight across tip to tip. My new ones are 26 1/2". Hand position angle is much better than stockers. We will give them a try in a month or so. Thanks for all the above info.
