I dont knowpersion would be but i would suggest making sure that your pattern is down the middle. i have gone through multiple tracks putting studs on the outsides. i always seem to catch something while cornering hard and ripping the track, because of this i shy away from studs all together.

i run studs cause of the safety factor and also the mad grip. i also have had probs with studs ripping out on the outside. but i have had a couple different setups from previous used tracks i have purchased. one had two then four studs the next lug. but the other one had three in every lug. one on each side then one in the middle.
you know what even if i rode in the mtns all the time i think i would still run a stud with a taller lug track. but in that case i think i would make the stud slightly lower than the lug height. for when you have the anal contracting moment at the top of an icy hill.

I know this is not what you asked but I thought I would through this in. I put a 136" ripsaw 1 1/4" track in my sled and when I called Woody's about studs I was told to go with the 108 pattern witch has all double backers and it would be enough for my 600 xcsp. I really like the double backers they seam to be better at not getting punched out of the track. I would look for a pattern with all double backers.

i am pretty sure i am going to run this pattern. but my double backers are going to be blue and the singles will be black.

I ran that pattern on my last track worked fine. I did have one single stud get punched out, nice hole exact shape of the backer plate, out but that was after about 2500 miles.

For best performence and grip what design do you think would work best? for longevity and durabuility?
look at the woodys website they give you almost all the patterns imaginable. well not everyone.

For a 144 pattern that is probably the best pattern.

I run all my sleds studs to inside of the hyfax only and a staggerred pattern CLOSE to hyfax. Double backer plate (96) single (48).
Think about it. That is where the max load bearing is on stud. Near the hyfax.
