I insure through Liberty Mutual and my rates are better than anything I've seen advertised in the VAST newsletter. Your milage may vary, but they're probably worth calling.

I bought through Snogirl's agency last year. They have competitive rates, she's "local", and an active HCS'r:

holdin' it to the grip
If you live in CT the best deal I think that you are going to find is through Liberty Mutual. I go through the Middlebury office - the deal is so good that we changed and insured everything that we have through them...Have had sled insurance through them for about 4-5 years now. Call Audra, 203-598-7177. Speak to Audra directly and tell her that Deanna Lacapra said to give you a good quote! Land N Sea Marine sends all of their sledders looking for insurance to Liberty Mutual Middlebury office.

Good point - and just for the record, I was just giving another option. I didn't mean to steer anyone away from VT2006. I should have stated that. My apologies vt2006.

No problem. The best way to buy sled insurance is w/ the company you have your home insurance with or a renters policy with. Allstate has great rates thats where I have mine. If a person does not have a home or renters policy than we use Progressive, Dairlyland or Foremost.

Hello all -

Thanks to Tony for the mention here for insurance. Biggest item to be concerned with that I've found is "un-insured / under-insured' coverage. You can add your sled to most Homeowners policies, however, not every company includes this item. This comes into play if somebody hits you on the trail & doesn't have enough or any coverage for the damage to you and / or your machine. It's separate from the required liability coverage that we have to have.

I'd be happy to give anyone a quote, but more importantly, where-ever you get your insurance make sure you get this on your policy.

Thanks -

Rodney
