I'm planning to install a wiseco piston kit in my polaris xplorer 400. Wondering if anyone else has done this and if there are any precautions or words of wisdom/experience when installing a forged piston. I am familiar with the piston replacement procedure, just was wondering about general things to be careful of of when installing a forged slug. Thanks in advance grinning-smiley-023.gif

nothing too special about a forged piston. its stronger and sometimes lighter. it does take a bit more time to get to opperating temp then a regular piston, so let it warm up good before riding. other then that, break in the rings and piston how you so desire.
