I regret to inform you but that is a small moose skull, not a deer..

How do you figure?

Well first of all, there is no way a deer skull is that big, if it was it would be a new world record, but it isnt.. It is a moose. And second of all, the antlers go towards the back of the skull. not up and out towards the nose.. You cant be serious in thinking that is a deer skull.

Yes I am serious. Maybe I am wrong. That rack goes straight out not back. Also, the antlers are not palmated like moose antlers would be.

That is why it is a small moose. Look, you have a big deer hanging on your wall, now compare the size of the head of that buck to the skull.. A lot smaller isnt it.. And you said the antlers come straight out.. Well there you have it, you just proved it, a deers antlers come up, not out.

And when i said the antlers of a moose go back, i meant where the main beams end up, they are pointing towards the ass.. On a deer the main beams point towards the nose..

I agree with yz426 small moose, found piece of antler like that last year, at first thought maybe but then everyone at camp agreed that it was a small moose antler.

One question.....How long have you had that hanging, and how many people have you showed and told them that it was a huge deer skull and antler? not trying to make fun, but I would start to change your story.
