I'm looking at a new camera our Canon SD 450 is having trouble focusing again it was fixed under warranty about 6months ago and is having trouble again. I have several friends and relatives that have had great luck with there SDs and thought about just getting a new SD 1000 or 750 as the price has come down quite a bit. Then I started seeing this Panasonic in different reviews and really like the idea of 10x optical zoom. I'm willing to give up some size for the bigger zoom. So anyway was wondering what experiences if any with this camera or the SD 750 or something like it. Really I'm open to anything want a camera that does well with action and outdoors is the biggest thing.

The TZ3 is a great camera. It offers a high 10x image stabilized zoom with a smaller size camera compared to the others in the same grouping. Also the 3" screen is very nice to help see if you have a blurry photo or not. It has a very user friendly menu, and is pretty fast at focusing. The lithium battery is another nice feature. I don't think that you will find a better camera for the price.

I like dpreview.com for camera reviews and info.
I've not had any time with the panasonics, but I've had really good luck with fujis for pocket digitals (currently f810 and a f30) and I have a digital rebel for an slr which has done me right.

I also am thinking of buying this panasonic. I am trying to decide between that and a sony dsc-t200. I am not sure which way to go. Anyone have any suggestions on these 2?
