My wifes Z 670 only idles about 1200-1300 rpms- I believe it should be around 2000. What is the correct procedure for raising the idle on this motor?

Thanks for the help!

A Small thumbscrew in the right hand side of the carb. It raises the slide up (faster idle) when screwed in and down when screwed out

just remember to make equal adjustments!

As said be sure to turn each carb's idle screw in equal amounts, to keep them in sync.

set your idle screws to factory position-then adjusr your cables until the slides just rest on the screws and go another turn. start the engine and check the idle (engine fully warmed) make even adjustments after to bring to 1800-2000 rpms.if you want to get right into it after that-raise the idle 500 rpms and turn your air screws in or out to get maxium rpm and then reset your idle screws back to 1800-2000
