I have a question, I just mounted a 01 700 VES in my gen two. I have heard I lot about the motor plate cracking and breaking under all the torque this motor makes. I didn't use the stock 700 plate to mount the motor though. I used my stock 600 VES straps to mount it. You think they'll be strong enough? The mounts are two single straps, not a plate like the 700. But these are also about twice as thick as a plate. Do you think it's gona hold up? I checked out slp's web site, and I can get the SLP engine push arm for my chassie. so you think I'll need it? Thanks

My 700 ves does not have the plate,it is two straps(or steal strips). If the push arm is a stop that goes on the back side of the motor then yes you will atleast need that.Check your center to center should be 11 1/2 inchs & offfset should be 5/8.

Realy? your's is the first I have heard of that doesn't have a plate stock. Check out this thread. This is what I'm worried about. But this problem might be limited to the pro X 700. Not sure.
