I'm putting my spre-filters on today. Looking at them, I can't believe that that they won't restrict air flow? I know it won't be as bad as riding with the edge filter plugged with snow and ice, but it seems counter - intuitive. Do most people just toss the factory foam when installing these?

Best friend installed them on his 07 and wifes 06 and the completely replaced the existing filters. On his when he blips the throttle you can see them kinda of suck in. I think on your sled u could also get the same material stuff that just wraps around the existing filter. I'm pretty sure thats what the 05 RMKs came with.

I am going to be buying the material and riggin it up somehow to work on my 98, either wrapping the existing filter or completely removing it.
