I'm looking for some feedback regarding the various property managment companies near Old Forge/Eagle Bay. I live way, way out of state and I won't be close enough to do it myself. Anyone here have investment property there who is using a managment company?

Thanks. Any info/feedback is greatly appreciated.

Great question. Old Forge is generally a wholesome community. We rely on neighbors for minor upkeep when we are away. From a property mgmt standpoint, what exactly do you mean?

I'm seen several websites for cabin rentals where real estate agents act as your point of contact. I'm looking for a company that handles the bookings and fields the calls if there's a problem at 3am. I basically don't want to get shafted by a less than honest repairman since I'm 2000 miles away.

Ideally it would be great to hire someone to book it, collect the deposits/money, handle repairs and get the place cleaned back up for the next group to arrive. I just want to invest the money, use it two weeks out of the year and try to keep it rented as much as possible.

Does that make more sense?

Thanks for all of the responses so far. I'd love to hear from more people.

Seasled - I wondered about Julie Liddle. I had called her twice about a cabin I wanted to rent and not one phone call back. You'd think that you'd want to call people back ESPECIALLY if they've called twice. I wondered if it was just a bad time that I called but from your previous post it appears that I wasn't the only one that received "less than stellar service."

Thanks guys, keep 'em coming!
