Wondering if anyone knows where I could get a custom heat exchanger made for my sled? I noticed on the 04 edge's with M10 they put a sup. cooler in the rear for more cooling. I just don't think its enough. Anybody have any suggestions?
Thanks
Mike

Kit from polaris, #2202143, and longer snowflap to touch the ground when you sit on the sled. Check the coolant bottle for warpage as well.

Invest in some "Ice Scratchers" Polaris makes some that are a very simple install. Regardless of your flap length if the the snow conditions are packed/icy and your not throwing a good roost your going to over heat.
I don't know why but I never see people running them !?!?!?
I ran some on my 2006 RMK900 166 and had zero issues going down a previously rain soaked trail which had turned to boiler plate when it froze. 13 plus miles of maintaining 145 water temp (which is ideal) non stop while everyone else without them was at least a half housr behind me from stopping and packing snow on their tunnels and letting motors cool...... Just as a testimate to how well they work.
Not to mention you will not wear hyfaxes out for thousands of miles.
They run like 50-70 bones depending on who makes them.

I have a edge nose radiator...mounts in the front and provides a LOT more cooling than the rear cooler, and you don't have to worry about studs, branches, etc!!

you could also use a pair of tunnel coolers from an xcr or storm

I had overheating problems on my 05 Switchback. Tried the nose air radiator from RPC Racing. Helped a lot, but would still go in to the retard ignition mode once in a while. Added scratchers and never had a problem. Same problem with the 07 Switchback. Added scratchers at day 2. The 07 Switchback has a temp gauge so I can watch the change with the scratchers up and down. WOW! It does drop the temp 30 deg. F. on ice and hardpack. Never had a problem with them catching on train tracks or bridges or road crossings or pressure ridges. Just DON'T BACK UP!!!

If your looking for a better heat exchanger setup, check this out
http://www.crazymtn.com/Pages/products.htmlStarting Line Products makes a similar product, except the cooling ribs are on the same side as the flange that you rivet (meant for the top of the tunnel mount)
