It's snowing in Stowe right now, I can't believe it. I thought it was stuff blowing around in the yard. I think the F6 is probably smiling right now...

It's been doing doing like wise most of the day in the eastern NEK. Just had a quick squall and the clouds look really ominous right now. Nothing has accumulated so far. Just a tease.

My friend was driving home sunday and called us as he went over the randolph gap..... Said it was snowing and it was sticking, something he wasn't enjoying driving his mustang home.... :-/ He's on the way home to put it away for the winter and he hits snow, probably won't see another flake till december :-(

Much colder next week and the models are hinting at something around the 15th..........I'm not getting excited until December!

At least the temps are dropping and the POTENTIAL for snow is there.... last winter it didnt even snow once until January!!! That was just way too painfull. I hope we don't have to go through that again!

Woke up to a beautiful sight this morning...snow on the mountain. While it's man-made snow, it's still nice to see, and a step in the right direction.

I was going to cruise up there to take pics but didn't have time today. I don't think my zoom on my camera would be a close enough pic from my front door.

WoW, they sure got agressive with the snow guns. Combine that, and the forecst for the next week, and they could be a few trails open real soon.

I'm not so sure that it's all man-made, all of the peaks look to be white, even where there aren't any trails.

I just checked Stowe.com
"Snowmaking started on Mt. Mansfield at 9:28pm on Saturday, November 3. The snow guns were blowing winter white on Stowe Mountain Resort’s Ridgeview and Lord trails.
Later this week snowmaking will expand to Spruce Peak.
Stowe is scheduled to be open top to bottom by Wednesday, November 21 "

Aw come on, Its not that much of a ride. IS the " Notch " closed for the season yet? If I lived near there, Id be up on the Mountain almost daily this time of year.

Well I would've yesterday but I was home from work sick. I'm not sure if the Notch is closed yet, I'd imagine it will be soon. They keep having to close it off because 18-wheelers keep getting stuck up there. Apparently they don't notice the signs that say "no 18-wheelers".

Thats funny
Ive drove the notch, and even rode it on my sled at 9:00 at night. Its a bit tricky, but fun. Those are some HUGE bolders up there.
BTW, you have a IM from me.

Yeah it's definitely an interesting drive. I'd love to take my sled up through there some time.
