I know it is still a little early, but lets hear about snow depth. If anyone rides Hatchers this weekend, fill us in on the snow coverage.
Chad174
I talked to jen about a possible ride up by yoder road sometime soon if they get dumped again up there...did the snow there in wasilla/willow melt away? I'm gonna try to ride sunday I think for lack of anything better to do..

You can see the mountains pretty good from our shop and it looks as if it rained up there and there was some snow loss. Hope that's not true though

Yeah whats a trai? I don't think we have those in AK.
lakeeffectsledhead
You'll have to excuse us flatlanders. 90% of our riding has to be on maintained trails. The concept of no trails and miles and miles of open space to ride in is mind boggling. Wow1.gif

I'm reeeeeaaaallllly hoping I can ride when I come up Dec. 2nd. I'll be checking here for update.

later.

called the roadhouse this morning (sat 11) they said 18 in. there, with plenty to ride out in the petersville hills. thinknig of going up in the morning.
mxz04rev
(from my sister and her fiance) Team Cc was up at Eureka yesterday. It was marginal riding. Minimal snow coverage. Bonking off some rocks. Temps were cool though, down to single digits. I think they rode the "monument" side. I haven't checked the Eureka Roadhouse site lately. I'll stop by there next to see what they can offer in the way of ride reports.

Hatchers is still in need of some major snow be be safe. No crowds though!

ive got a report from the oilwell road, kahiltna river area. this weekend they recieved 12-14" of fresh snow. the downside is that there are still alot of wet spots in swamps and creeks and such. apparently the water table was pretty high as winter approached so it hasnt had much time to freeze yet.
letsgorippin
2-4 inches here in dillingham in certain areas and more up towards the hills .waiting for my parts to come in then its all over got to go and try with the boys the dogs r going this week sometime .
Jaxson
Last night it was snowing at Summit / Paxson area, 3"-4" on the ground. Thompson Pass also was getting hammered last night.
powderhound
Raining @ Pville Today, still good snow though. Wet, bumpy, and fun!

polarispunk
Rode Hatchers on Saturday, relatively good snow, kind hard but it was waist deep. I drove back to Fairbanks today, from mile market 140-180 got some real heavy snow, you can ride there now no problem. But on either side of those mile markets it's bare...Mile 128 still had enough to go out to, but i saw brown water in the swamps.
MYTOYS
Read that it's snowing in PVille right now.

Turny web cam is looking better.

I'll be headin to Petersville next saturday for the first ride this year. My sister was there 2 days ago and said it was worth the trip, I guess I'll find out. i_need_snow.gif
powderhound
Yep pville has been getting a little snow everyday, I rode it on Sat and had a blast, getting slushy around the parking lot. Speaking about the Krota parking lot, they have not plow it as of Sat and the slush made for many trucks to get get stuck down there. Beaware!

I rode Hatchers today, they still have not recieved much more snow that they had last week. The wind has came through there and filled in alot of the holes though.

MYTOYS
I'm jealous, you suck Nigel! But I mean that in the nicest way!

Hey now, its not like I am the only one who still rides as much as possible. Here is one from today...

25THZ28
Well, I went to P-ville today for a few hours. It wasn't all that great. Mostly all windblown. If you stay in the trees it wasn't so bad. If you have a bump sled it is perfect for you. I still had fun though. Just needs to snow a little more.
WinterRules
I drove through Turny Pass this afternoon and it was snowing like crazy, especailly in the Portage area. There was about 6" of fresh in the Pass parking lot, and about 8-10" of fresh in Portage. Wish I would have had the camera so I could have posted pics. Hopefully Turny will open by this weekend...? rockernana.gif
Jaxson
There's about 6"-8" of fresh pow on Thompson Pass tonight. Blowing pretty good as well.
MYTOYS
Oh really? Friend said that it was trying to snow in Palmer, waiting to see if it kept snowing yet or not. Really really need to ride, I'm going insane. Might have to take a trip to Canada to get my rocks of :P
25THZ28
Went to Cantwell today, andit was unbielevable. 4-5 feet untouched powder. We stopped at mile 191 on the Parks. Definetely worth the drive. It's way better than Petersville or Hatchers. Thought I'd let everyone know. buttrock.gif

The riding out East end is shaping up . I went out last thursday and friday and it was great. nice base with powder on top. cornices are lipping up nicely. And for all who might want to know Dane qualified for x-games, the only freestyler from Ak to make it. Looks like a trip to Aspen will have to be made.
powderhound
Well this weekend is shaping up for Turny or Pville. Gonna be around 20 degrees and getting some fresh snow!
get some pics!
homeslice

theultrarider
The lake is not open and they are writing tickets!

Its dumping down here in Homer I've been plowing since thursday night round the clock and its still snowing with more snow in the forecast for the next few days. Its great out in the hills. Merry Christmas.

Turnagain was socked in hard today. I TRIED riding but not much luck.

Comin up from Juneau and gonna be in the valley for a couple days. I have a sled and wheels lined out, so if anyone is riding thursday and dont mind if I tag along, let me know. I dont jump a whole lot, but other than that like to ride fairly hard. Should be headed for the slope this weekend but like I said, can ride thurs.
jakeass
Went to Turnagain Sat. the 6th(?) and it was OK. Not the best I have seen it but better than most anywhere else. Then went to Deshka Landing and rode to the Yetna Station. now was definitley better the farther up we went. We are going to follow the K-300 trail on Friday from the Deshka to Petersville and back and will post back on that.
