Does anyone know of a good place in the Central MA souther NH area who can weld aluminum? In the process or repacking my wheel bearings yesterday I discovered that both frame rails are cracked and bent just behind the axle mounting plates on my trailer. It should be a simple job to straighted, weld, and re-inforce the area.

Any suggestions or other ideas are greatly apprecieated.

The same thing happened to my Sled Bed trailer. It cracked where the axle bolts went through the rails. I didn't think that a weld would hold up any better than the original tubing, so I fitted solid pieces of aluminum stock inside the rectangular tubing. So now I have solid aluminum where the axle bolts onto the rails. It's a very sturdy fix if you can find someone that can do it.

Yes you do!
It's a pain if you have to fix it, but it would be much worse to have the thing collapse on the highway.

I found mine when I was putting jackstands under the trailer in the spring. So I had all summer to figure out how I wanted to fix it.
