I have a problem with IE 7. On both of my laptops if I open a certain post or a auction on ebay, it will close my brouser. If I open the same post or auction with firefox, all is ok. Any clues as to why? This started this summer. Also on some websites I have to hit the back button about three times in a row to back up one page. If I use firefox, one click and it backs up, one page. Thanks for any help.................Brian

iolo is good.....it could be kicking you off because there is a virus on that page......download this cleaner and it might fix it.....it will run fine....i use iolo and ccleaner as well......run the cleaner....then scan for ISSUES......fix all issues.....save a registry backup so you can repair if anything happens....never has though.....if it still happens then you need to get rid of TRACKERS as they can cause this as well....use AD-AWARE SE to remove them.....make sure boxes are checked LOW LEVEL and HIGH LEVEL RISKS on status page before scan start.....it will also run with iolo....each sees what the other cannot.....let me know if it works for ya

I really doubt its spyware, y don't u just use firefox, it is a better browser in every single way.

I'll echo the question as to why you aren't just using Firefox as your primary browser.

But in any case, there is the off chance that the page you're attempting to access is trying to run a script that causes IE to shut down. In such case, IE might not be set up to display the page at all (you might need to use a different browser or reinstall/update IE) or the page might be improperly/poorly coded.

IDK, I just am use to using IE. I tryed everything now and it still does it, including reloading IE. It does it on both my puters............Brian

I've had a few issues with IE 7.0 on a number of systems.
In most cases, uninstalling 7.0 rolled them back to 6.0 and cured all problems.
On a couple others, I had to uninstall IE 7.0, re-boot, Windows updates, reboot,
reinstall IE 7.0 and all updates/patches to get them working again. Good luck.

I gave up! I am now running firefox on both my laptops, hopefully no more problems. Thanks for the help guys.............Brian
