Bought a SC10-II without shocks to stick in my 99 MXZ600, figured it wouldnt be to difficult to find a set of shocks for it wall.gif anyways been looking and havent really found anything at a decent price - mind you I just trail ride and not to aggressively

the HPG's in the SC10 that is in it now wont fit, that I know

is it true SC10-III are interchageable?

anyone know of any other sources of shocks I should be keeping an eye out for??

I may just go ahead and buy a complete skid that the shocks need rebuilding, found two that way already pretty cheap and just resell what I got now unless I get lucky or some input

thanks

I'm pretty sure they are interchangable.. I replaced the sc1 with a sc3 in my 99, and used the same shocks. Although the '99 should have came with rebuildables, and mine were NOT, so some previous owner swapped them out. Regardless, I am pretty sure shocks swap between the sc1/sc2/sc3

looks like you need about 1 inch longer ski shocks man. id hate to drive straight into a drift wiht your sled.

The back end is jacked up on a stand..

ill give you that but it would still sit relly high in the back from what i can tell. nice sled though. if your looking for a shock, steve at deycore very well may have one. i was in there last week and he had a bunch of HPG shocks around. may have what your looking for.

The front end stays up okay grinning-smiley-023.gif.

just kidding, actually I am looking for some rear rebuildables, thanks for the link, i'll check it out.

the sc10 center only fits the sc10-1

the sc2/3 can swap centers, and rears. some 2/3 "x" centers also fit the sc4/5 no problem!

the sc10-1 rear is shorter than the 2/3. you can take a 2/3 rear, shorten it by .5" or so and fit the 10 but cant go the other way

am i babbling or making sense? i rebuild shocks, alot of them...any questions just ask.

you make sense; last time I checked your list you only had a pair of powder coated ones available, I will check again

I realized I messed up buying a skid with no shocks, wont do it again

ust a quick question, I kind of new to sleds. What does a stock 99' 600 Mxz have for shocks? sc10, and are the years that follow that sled sc10-2/-3 etc???? do the later model's have more travel or something??

Thanks

i am no expert but from what I understand 99 MXZ (ZX Chassis) have a SC10, 2000 (ZX Chassis) and later SC10-II (SC2) and then SC10-III (SC3)

sc10 isnt coupled front to back, sc2 and later are and they made other improvements, so they handle bumps and ride better

so I bought a 99MXZ knowing I need to swap out the SC10 for a 10-II
