I apologize in advance for asking a question that's probably been answered a hundred times already, but I just couldn't find the info that I need with a search. I must not be searching with the right key words.

Anyway, I've got the skid out, and I've unbolted the 3 bolts holding the speedo bracket onto that side of the shaft. My question is on the other side of the shaft. My 02 service manual is describing the procedure for a completely different sled, so it's got me confused.

Do I just remove the 3 nuts I see in the tunnel, or do I have to pull the chaincase apart? I'm guessing I have to pull the chaincase apart. If so, any tips?

Pull chaincase apart and remove the bottom sprocket.

Thanks. I just got it out. It didn't turn out to be too difficult once I pulled the cover off. Sometimes you just need that push in the right direction. grinning-smiley-023.gif
