Just bought an '07 600 IQ HO carb earlier today, and I'm coming off an '03 XC7. Won't have it home for another week or so. I understand there is an update on the chaincase cover and wasn't there an update on the carb boots too? Anything else I need to know? How is the stock clutching? What about jetting, is it the typical Polecat setting that is pretty fat?

Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

if it is anything like the CFI, than it will be the biggest POS that you have ever bought

hahahahhahaha just kiddin man. if it is anything like the CFI than it will be the best sled that you have ever purchased in you life! there is nothing (in the 600cc class) that will preform better, or even equal to what this sled has done!

i just had the chain case mount recall done not that long ago (about 3 weeks ago). i dont know anything else similar to the H.O. that you have.. but you dont have to worry about it.. in order for a dealership to sell an automotive (new or used) ALL recalls have to be completed. so in a week or so when you have that sled.. the only thing you gotta worry about is your friends liking you after you kick there asses in a drag race (if there sled is same class).... and not getting under 2000miles this year also, that's a no brainer.

Yes the jetting is way too fat. most go to 400, but many many have gone to 390's. make sure the track tension and chain are as loose as possible to minimize drag. change out the 4" carbides for a set of shapers, and the best clutching "I" have found was GSI11J's setup. The Tempa-FLow is a really nice upgrade too (it's no CFI, but still nice). Enjoy your new ride, it is a great sled.

I am also in the process of purchasing a 07 IQ 600 carb. I can not wait. I love the look of this new sled, and coming off an edge it should be a world of diffrence. The only thing I dont like is it doesnt have the analog gauge just digital. Is yours the same? Does any one know why polaris did this.!?

the HUD is analog and digital. you can change from analog RPM and digital MPH/KPH (in red i do beleave), to digital RPM and analog MPH/KPH (blue i beleave)

i like the new set up compared to the "all" analog display. with this one it is nice to show off to the buddies how fast you have gone (the digital display stores your "top speed", the fastes you have ever gone on the sled) and it also stores the highest RPM your sled has went.

another advantage with the digital, you can display the engine temp.

if you get the 2 add on's, you can get the digital do display the outside air temp, and the altitude.

I tried out a 600 iq last spring. 0 to 90 it was very fast, and handled extremely well. the one i tried wasn't studded, but had good traction as well. Properly studded and set up, it is a very impressive sled for a 600.. I opted not to go that route because i was coming of a 900, and i got a good deal on an fst. If the people you ride with are on 6 and 700's you won't be dissapointed.

No

The 07 600 carb does not have the analog display just the digital. The CFI does have both.

Is there any way to add the analog guage so it is like the CFI set up??

would not know, but i am thinking that if you were to add a digital one on there, that it would not be able to preform all the functions that a all analog one would produce. since the CFI has lots to do with wireing and computers and that kinda stuff.
