Thanks for the help. Can someone tell me what the impulse really does--THANKS.
ivar
the impulse line utilizes crankcase vacuum to actuate the membrane in the fuel pump

On the IQ 440 case the vaccum line to the pump attaches on the right carb manifold on the case.
It is about a 1/4" thick brass fitting.

That isn't the right fitting. Farther to the mag side there is a bigger brass fitting.

Thanks pro-ex I see the one you are talking about now. I thought the one in the center of the case was for an oil pump line.
I also have a 2004 case but it doest have the oil line on it for the water pump bearings, can you tell me why the 2005 came with one.
Why did they even put a oil lube inlet and they didn't come with a oil pump. Also is it ok to just cap this line off.

Thanks

Was that a grease fitting on the PTO bearing? Cool idea. Could you use a grease fitting on the center bearing also instead of the oil line?
